Babies, Caesars, & Deer (Have pretty much NOTHING in common)

September 21, 2020 by administrator Leave a Comment

Went up to a much quieter campground. With the passing of the last holiday weekend of summer, the hunters are  out and the yahoos are gone. Hunters by and large make much quieter neighbors. People in B Loop closing up camp, except of course for Tofts and Patmores. Mike came up and took his trailer out for the year. Richard’s quad is still in various pieces in his … [Read more...]

Trail Blazers (August 2020)

Left base camp at 8.15 and went straight to Campground Trail; all 4 us with our own personal thermos. That’s the best part of riding the trail in October; hot coffee! (or tea, in Patricia and Sven’s case) Richard got the first grouse … [Read more...]

October 6, 2019 by administrator Leave a Comment

We brought Richard up to Touchwood with us this time; Patricia stayed home to watch grandson Dean. Friday evening was not terribly cold; temperature sat around 5-6 degrees above zero and with no rain, it was pretty comfortable around the fire. We got out of camp at 8.15 after a fast breakfast. Richard’s quad loaded onto his trailer with our General tucked in behind it; … [Read more...]
